Terms of service
Effective Date: October 21, 2026
Replaces the version dated February 5, 2025.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Current Medium L.L.C. dba Formula Inbox ("Formula Inbox," "we," "our," "us"). They cover your use of formulainbox.com, our free tools, our content and our services. We wrote them in plain language. Please read them, because using our site means you agree to them.
What changed in this version
- We name the company behind Formula Inbox: Current Medium L.L.C., based in St. Petersburg, Florida.
- We added rules for our free tools (the Deliverability Assessment and the Inbox Placement Test) and our AI chat assistant.
- We explain how paid work is handled: your proposal or service agreement sets the details, and it wins if it differs from these Terms.
- We say clearly that no one can guarantee inbox placement, and that past results do not promise future results.
- We added rules against using our tools or advice for spam or other unlawful email.
- Florida law now governs these Terms, with a simple first step for solving disputes.
- We removed things that no longer apply, like accounts and courses sold on this site. Marketing emails now follow our Privacy Policy, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Our contact is now contact@formulainbox.com.
1. Agreeing to these Terms
By using our site, tools or services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
You must be at least 18 years old. Our services are for businesses. If you use them for a company, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms for that company, and "you" also means the company.
2. What we offer
- Website content: our blog, videos, case studies, guides and calculators.
- Free tools: the Deliverability Assessment, the Inbox Placement Test and the reports they create.
- AI chat assistant and call card: a chat bar that answers questions about our services, and a way to call us or ask for a callback.
- Paid services: email deliverability audits, fixes, email infrastructure setup, and ongoing monitoring and support.
We may change, pause or stop any part of the site or free tools at any time.
3. Our free tools
When you use the Deliverability Assessment or Inbox Placement Test:
- Only test domains and email accounts that you own or have permission to test.
- Give us a real email address that you control. We send your results there.
- Results are estimates. They come from public DNS records, third-party blocklist data and test inboxes at one moment in time. Real inbox placement can be different and can change quickly.
- Do not use bots or scripts to run the tools, and do not try to get around our limits. We limit how often each person can run a test.
- The tools are free and offered "as is." We may change them or stop offering them at any time.
4. Our AI chat assistant
The chat bar on our site uses artificial intelligence (AI) to answer questions. Its answers can be incomplete or wrong. They are general information, not professional advice for your situation, and they do not create a contract or change these Terms. Please check anything important with us directly, and do not share passwords or other sensitive information in the chat.
5. Paid services
- Your Client Agreement comes first: before paid work starts, we agree on a proposal, statement of work or service agreement (your "Client Agreement"). It sets the scope, price, timeline and payment terms. If it says something different from these Terms, the Client Agreement wins.
- Prices: prices on our site are starting prices. Your final price is in your quote or Client Agreement. Payment terms, including any refunds, are set in your Client Agreement.
- Monitoring retainers: unless your Client Agreement says otherwise, ongoing monitoring has a three-month minimum term. After that, you can cancel with 15 days’ written notice.
- Licenses we buy for you: to set up email infrastructure, we may buy licenses and services for you, like Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, domain names and inbox warm-up tools. You pay those vendors’ fees, and you must follow their terms. We are not responsible for their products, prices or outages. Our Privacy Policy explains how we protect the payment card you give us for these purchases.
6. Your responsibilities as a client
- Give us accurate information and the access we need (for example, to your DNS, email platform or sending tools), and keep your own login details safe.
- Make sure you have the right to let us make changes to the systems you give us access to.
- You are responsible for your own emails: what they say, who you send them to, and following email and privacy laws such as CAN-SPAM, the GDPR and Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL). We advise on deliverability, but we are not your lawyers.
- Results depend partly on things you control, like your lists, your content and how quickly you act on our advice.
7. Rules for using our site and services
You agree not to:
- Use our tools, advice or services to send spam, phishing, malware or any email that breaks the law.
- Use our services to hide who is sending email or to trick spam filters into accepting unlawful or unwanted mail.
- Test or probe systems you do not own or have permission to test.
- Hack, overload or interfere with our site, or try to get into areas you are not allowed to access.
- Scrape or copy our site in bulk, or use it to build a competing product.
- Break any law or anyone else’s rights.
We may refuse or stop work with anyone who breaks these rules.
8. Results and guarantees
Mailbox providers like Gmail and Microsoft decide where email lands, and their filters change often. So no one, including us, can guarantee inbox placement or any specific result. Case studies, reviews and numbers on our site show what happened for specific clients. They are not a promise that you will get the same results. Results vary by sender.
9. Who owns what
- Our content: our site, blog posts, videos, reports, logos and designs belong to us or the people who licensed them to us. You may read them, share links to them and use the free reports we send you inside your business. Please do not copy, republish or sell our content without our written permission.
- Our name: "Formula Inbox" and our logo are our brand. Do not use them in a way that suggests we work with or endorse you without our permission.
- Client work: unless your Client Agreement says otherwise, once you have paid in full you may use the reports and deliverables we make for you in your business. We keep ownership of our own methods, templates, tools and know-how, and we can keep using them for other clients.
- Your materials: you keep ownership of what you give us. You let us use it only to provide our services to you.
- Feedback: if you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without paying you.
10. Other companies’ services and links
Our site uses and links to services run by other companies, like Cal.com for booking calls, YouTube for videos, Context Memo for the chat assistant, and LinkedIn, GitHub, Upwork and Udemy. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for them. Our Udemy course link includes a referral code, so we may earn more when you buy the course through it.
11. Emails from us
We may email you your results, replies to your questions and information about our services, as explained in our Privacy Policy. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time with the link in each email. We may still send you messages you need, like replies to you or notes about work you hired us for.
12. Disclaimer
Our site, content, free tools and chat assistant are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises (warranties) about them, including that they will be accurate, complete, always available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Our content is general information, not legal advice. Any promises about paid services are only those written in your Client Agreement.
13. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not responsible for indirect or follow-on losses, such as lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost business or harm to your reputation, even if we were told they might happen.
- Our total responsibility for any claim about our site, tools or services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you have not paid us anything.
- Your Client Agreement may set different limits for paid work.
These limits do not apply to fraud, to harm we cause on purpose or through gross negligence, or to anything the law does not let us limit.
14. Your promise to cover certain claims
If someone makes a claim against us because you broke these Terms, broke the law, or sent emails that caused harm, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim, including reasonable legal fees (this is called "indemnification"). We will tell you about the claim and let you help respond to it.
15. Ending access
We may suspend or end your access to our site, free tools or chat assistant if you break these Terms or misuse them. Ending paid services follows your Client Agreement. Sections that should still apply after access ends (like ownership, disclaimers, limits on liability and indemnification) will continue to apply.
16. Solving disputes
- Talk to us first: if you have a problem, email us at contact@formulainbox.com. We will try in good faith to solve it within 30 days before either of us goes to court.
- Florida law: these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.
- Where to file: any lawsuit must be brought in the state courts in Pinellas County, Florida, or the federal court for the Middle District of Florida. You and we agree to those courts’ authority.
- Your local rights: if the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived, these Terms do not take them away.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when our site, services or the law change. We will post the new version here, change the Effective Date and list the main changes. Changes apply from the new Effective Date. If you keep using our site after that, you accept the new Terms. Changes do not alter a signed Client Agreement unless we both agree in writing.
18. Other legal details
- Whole agreement: these Terms, our Privacy Policy and any Client Agreement are the full agreement between us about their subject.
- If part is invalid: if a court finds part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- No waiver: if we do not enforce a part of these Terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
- Transfer: you may not transfer these Terms to someone else without our permission. We may transfer them if we merge with or sell our business.
- Events outside our control: we are not responsible for delays caused by things we cannot reasonably control, like outages at mailbox providers, internet failures or natural disasters.
- Electronic notices: you agree that we can give you notices by email or on this site.
